ANNOUNCES FILMS”COOL” CALL FOR ENTRIES
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 11, 2007) The 2nd Annual Malibu Celebration of Film announces FILMS”COOL” call for entries today. MCOF’s FILMS“COOL” short film competition and mentoring program is a film educational outreach program for high school and undergraduate college filmmakers, that enriches, educates and empowers the young filmmakers of Malibu and Southern California’s communities. Three winners in each division are selected by a committee of Malibu film industry professionals headed by Honorary Chair Amy Madigan, and awarded at a special ceremony and screening at the commencement of the festival. All six films are also showcased in front of award winning feature film screenings during the four-day festival. First prize in each division wins $1000 cash prize and a mentorship with an entertainment industry professional. 2006 industry mentors included Warner Brothers and CBS. 2007 GENERAL SUBMISSION RULES
- To qualify, filmmakers must be a High School or Undergraduate College student from the Southern California area.
- Submission deadline is July15, 2007.
- Submission fee $25.00 US Dollars and is non-refundable.
- Length must be under 25 minutes.
- DVD format required.
