We had hoped to start off the show with our prerecorded exclusive interview with MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS director Josie Rourke, but thanks to an early call in from ETHAN GOLD, we cut to the chase and dive straight into the haunting beauty of SWAY LAKE. One of the year’s most exquisite scores, take a listen as Ethan talks about creating the various compositions within the score, as well as the title track sung by John Grant, and blending classical concerto with the jazz beats and instrumentation of the 30’s and 40’s. You can hear Ethan’s passion for music as he speaks, particularly when he talks about the emotional connection which drives him to each score. A truly lovely conversation. Well now, the film has multi-platform distribution and is releasing Tuesday, December 4, which means Ned can also talk about something new – budget.
