The 21st Annual SAG Awards® nominations were announced this morning by Eva Longoria and Ansel Elgort and held few surprises, with most nominees already garnering early attention from critics societies, guilds and film organizations on both sides of the Pond. Focusing on individual performances and that of the entire ensemble of a drama series and comedy series, and the cast of a motion picture, one of the tightest races may prove to be Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role with Steve Carell, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Keaton and Eddie Redmayne battling to the finish. Classic film fans the world over will undoubtedly be tuning in to see Debbie Reynolds receive the SAG Life Achievement Award.
