Film critic for the National Catholic Reporter, Sister Rose Pacatte, and film critic debbie elias, are normally on the same side of the red carpet with both doing interviews. But for the 2016 TCM Classic Film Festival, the tables turn as Sister Rose is presenting several programs during the festival that speak to the festival’s theme of “Moving Pictures” and specifically, those with religious themes, which now finds Sister Rose walking the red carpet as a special guest.
Stopping to speak with debbie elias, it’s an interesting discussion on faith-based movies both past and present, and TCM’s programming selections for the category of “religious themes.”
