Take a look and listen to the 2020 Film Independent Spirit Award winners who addressed the press with trophies in hand after their big wins at the Spirit Awards!
After waking to a morning ocean fog on the beach in Santa Monica on Saturday, February 8, 2020, the sun broke through the cloud cover by mid-morning and shone down in all its glory for the 35th Film Independent Spirit Awards. The only thing brighter than the sun was the talent on hand, many of whom walked the carpet, others who headed straight for the main tent to mix and mingle and eat and drink, and then there are the lucky winners who headed into the press tent to field questions about their films, their wins, their awards.
(NOTE: Renee Zellweger won Best Female Lead for JUDY but did not address the press post-win. Similarly, MARRIAGE STORY received the Robert Altman Award with writer Noah Baumbach picking up the award for Best Screenplay, however, they did not address the press. Shuzhen Zhao won Best Supporting Female for THE FAREWELL but was not present due to the coronavirus travel restrictions.)
