BEHIND THE LENS hit the red carpet for the Opening Night of the 2024 TCM CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL and a Carpet Chat with Academy Award-winning sound designer BEN BURTT, Academy Award-nominated Visual Effects wizard CRAIG BARRON, and former child actor SANDY DESCHER.
With Ben and Craig teaming up once again at TCMFF to bring an exciting presentation in the sci-fi realm to fest-goers, this year they brought along a surprise guest whose identity wasn’t revealed until the screening of THEM!, the wonderful former child actor Sandy Descher who played the traumatized little girl in the film.
Marking the 30th anniversary of TCM and the now classic PULP FICTION, the 15th Annual TCM CLASSIC FILM FESTIVAL kicked off in Hollywood, California at the legendary TCL Chinese Theatre under bright sunny skies. With a bevy of stars from PULP FICTION reuniting for the first time since the film’s release, along with luminaries from cinema’s past and present, TCM’s ideal of “then meets now” heralds the next 30 years of TCM.
As the cinematic watering hole where “then meets now”, TCM Classic Film Festival and TCM showed us once again why this is the place to be for movie lovers of all 100+ years of cinema for everything “classic.”
