JOE HALLETT paints a fun-filled bloody picture with PAINTBALL MASSACRE – Exclusive Interview

Who among us “likes” high school reunions, let alone actually goes to them?  Sure, maybe later in life you’ll show up just to see who’s still alive, but for the average folks, do we really need the successes or failures of others flaunted in our faces; after all, that’s what social media is for!  But for those of you who do attend reunions, you may want to think twice about it after seeing PAINTBALL MASSACRE.

Produced by JOE HALLETT, who also has a delicious little role in the film, directed by Darren Berry with script by Chris Regan, PAINTBALL MASSACRE puts a little spice into the high school reunion when a group of old high school “friends” go on a reunion paintball trip. Set out in the countryside far from any modicum of civilization, it doesn’t take long for those old high school personas to flare up – even more than during the previous night’s alcohol-fueled mixer – setting the stage for old rivals and new alliances.  But what happens when it’s not paint from the paintball guns that we see, but rather real blood and gore?  With no one around but for the paintball staff and the reunion attendees, it becomes clear that one or more of these “friends” is a cold-blooded killer.  They survived high school.  But can they survive their high school reunion?

When you talk about a boots-on-the-ground producer, someone like Todd Lieberman of Mandeville Films or Nina Jacobsen or Roxanne Avent Taylor immediately comes to mind.  They truly embody the idea of boots-on-the-ground and are not titular producers but active in every aspect of production and are on location with the shoot. Now you can add indie producer JOE HALLETT to the mix.

Calling on his martial arts expertise and business acumen at operating a very successful martial arts academy in the United Kingdom for many years, Hallett brings his business sensibilities, his acting and stunt work, and his creativity to the table as a producer on PAINTBALL MASSACRE.  As you will hear in this exclusive interview, Joe was involved in every aspect of this production, casting, problem-solving, contributing, looking at things from the perspective of wearing various hats – including that of an actor, and above all, having fun.  His humor and laughter are infectious as is his dedication to making a well-done and entertaining indie film.
