SARA K. SAMPSON & DICE TSUTSUMI talk the enchanting and exuberant ONI: THUNDER GOD’S TALE

An in-depth exclusive conversation with producer SARA K. SAMPSON and co-writer/co-director DAISUKE “DICE” TSUTSUMI talking about the enchanting and exuberant “must see” animated delight – ONI: THUNDER GOD’S TALE.

Hands down one of my favorite animated delights as part of the Animation Is Film Festival, and now available on Netflix as a four-part mini-series, ONI: THUNDER GOD’S TALE is set in a world filled with Japanese mythological oddball gods and monsters (all connected to nature, of course).  One of the creatures’ free-spirited daughters, Onari, is determined to follow in the footsteps of the mighty heroes of lore, but her unique powers are yet to be revealed. Does she have what it takes to fight to protect her peaceful village from the encroaching threat of the gods’ mysterious enemies, the “Oni”?

ONI: THUNDER GOD’S TALE features the voice talents of Archie Yates, Craig Robinson, Tantoo Cardinal, Momona Tamada, George Takei, Seth Carr, Omar Miller, and Brittany Ishibashi.

Boasting high production values, beautiful animation and use of color, exemplary sound design, perfect voice casting, and end-credit “cut and paste” dioramas that are not to be missed, Sara and Dice dive into it all in this exclusive interview.
