I always find it interesting during interviews to ask actors and actresses about their “take away” from a particular film. Responses and personal thoughts are always varied, as I found with Adrianne Palicki and Josh Peck on asking each of them:
“What did you take away from the experience of making RED DAWN?”
ADRIANNE PALICKI:
[This is] one of those firsts. For me it was my first big movie. It was all around a great experience. Getting to work with such an awesome cast. [We shot] in Detroit, which I loved because itfs close to my hometown. We bonded so closely. I was almost sad when it was over. It was like going to camp. This really loving experience.
JOSH PECK:
Being surrounded an ensemble of people who were all close in age, it was great to see everyone have their process and where they were in their career and especially guys like Chris [Hemsworth] and Josh [Hutcherson] that have really seen so much success since we shot it. To be able to watch them now and be a fan of your friend has been really exciting. I just feel like this was a different experience than I had ever had as far as physically and the demands of just having to show up everyday. Just getting through it, I think was a great success. It was definitely a marathon. This was 60 days [of] dealing with elements and training and injury and whatnot. Just finishing was a great accomplishment.
