Things get “fast and furry” on BEHIND THE LENS this week as we welcome the filmmakers for the crime comedy STEVIE-D and the documentary FURSONAS.
First up is writer/director/actor CHRIS CORDONE and one of my favorite character actors, SPENCER GARRETT, who are talking the noir-ish comedy STEVIE-D. Written and directed by Cordone, who stars in a dual role, laughs and twists and turns abound as Cordone surrounds himself with some veteran talent while delivering a solidly constructed and entertaining film. A fascinating look and listen with terrific insight from Chris as a multi-hat-wearing filmmaker and from Spencer, who provides keen commentary on the filmmaking process for STEVIE-D as well as the film industry.
Then the fur starts flying with first time documentarian DOMINIC RODRIGUEZ who introduces us to the world of “Furries” and Furry fandom with FURSONAS.
And hear excerpts of film critic debbie elias’ exclusive interview with writer/director Lorene Scafaria as she talks about her latest film, THE MEDDLER, starring Susan Sarandon.
