A fun, and eclectic, week on BEHIND THE LENS as we welcome LUKE SABIS and CHARLES GORGANO back to the show to talk about their films, while Kelley Smoot Garrett is on hand to share the history behind the fairytale book PRINCESS APRIL MORNING-GLORY and some Hollywood history of the Fairbanks family.
Two of our favorite guests and filmmakers are back in-studio with us. Writer/Director/Actor/Musician LUKE SABIS and actor CHARLES GORGANO are back live in-studio talking about the haunting MISSING CHILD, now on Blu-ray/DVD!
And classic film fans won’t want to miss KELLEY SMOOT GARRETT who joins us midway in the show to talk about LETITIA FAIRBANKS (as in the niece of Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford) and Letitia’s fairytale PRINCESS APRIL MORNING-GLORY – the book! Kelley is Letitia’s step-daughter and since Letitia’s passing has taken the laboring oar with bringing this hand-drawn and hand-painted book of illuminated calligraphy by Letitia to the public. Written and illustrated by Letitia over a two-year time period between 1939 to 1941 (commenced the night her uncle, Douglas Fairbanks, died), the book was unable to be published due to technological limitations. It has only been within the past approximate five years that technology allowed the majesty of this work, and message of doing three good deeds daily, to be reproduced for the masses.
