Woody Allen marks his first foray into television on September 30th with CRISIS IN SIX SCENES. A six-episode series streaming exclusively on Amazon, Allen not only writes and directs all six episodes, but stars in the series opposite Elaine May, Miley Cyrus, John Magaro and Rachel Brosnahan. As to be expected, with Allen at the helm a myriad of other guest stars populate the various episodes, among them, Joy Behar, Lewis Black, Max Casella, Michael Rapaport and Christine Ebersole.
Set in the United States during the turbulent 1960’s when times were changing and the “establishment” was facing off against new young voices with new ideas on politics, society and the war in Vietnam, CRISIS IN SIX SCENES follows a conservative middle class suburban New York couple, and their houseguest and his fiancé, who are challenged when confronted by a young hippie caught up in the activism of the day.
