The original movie DESCENDANTS is directed, choreographed and executive-produced by the Emmy Award-winning Kenny Ortega (“High School Musical”) and Wendy Japhet (“An Education,” “The Italian Job”). A live-action, music-filled, dragon-sized adventure, DESCENDANTS stars Dove Cameron (Disney Channel’s “Liv and Maddie”), Cameron Boyce (Disney XD’s “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything,” Disney Channel’s “Jessie”) as Carlos, Booboo Stewart as Jay, Sofia Carson as Evie, Mitchell Hope as Ben. Joining them as their legendary magical parents are Tony Award-winning Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent, Wendy Raquel Robinson as Cruella de Vil, Maz Jobrani as Jafar, Kathy Najimy as the Evil Queen, Melanie Paxson as Fairy Godmother, Brenna D’Amico as Jane, Sarah Jeffery as Audrey, Zachary Gibson as Doug, Jedidiah Goodacre as Chad Charming, and Dianne Doan as Lonnie.
Paul Becker (“So You Think You Can Dance Canada”) is the co-choreographer. The script was written by Josann McGibbon and Sara Parriott (creators and Emmy and WGA Award-nominated writers on “The Starter Wife”; writers of “Runaway Bride”), who are also co-producers. Tracy Jeffrey is the producer. Mark Hofeling (“Teen Beach Movie,” “High School Musical”) is the production designer and Kara Saun (“Project Runway”) is the costume designer.
