ReCalculating (DWF review)

By: debbie lynn elias

When it comes to charming sweetness look no further than ReCalculating.  A short film charmer from writer/director Peter Bean and co-director Claux Bertini, ReCalculating will have your heart smiling. ReCalculating - DWF

A man glued to his phone believing technology can provide him answers to everything in life, finds that to be true; but not in the way he imagined.  Stepping “outside the screen” and standard GPS navigation, this is one phone that can navigate the rocky waters of love as it gives the man step-by-step directions to find what could be the love of his life.

An absolute indie darling, visually the result is clean, sharp, polished.  Smart framing adds metaphoric texture to the story itself as does the Downtown Los Angeles location.  Whimsical score elevates the emotional fun.

ReCalculating is charm personified.

Written and Directed by Peter Bean.  Co-Directed by Claux Bertini
