A new look at Louisa May Alcott’s LITTLE WOMEN, this time through the lens of Greta Gerwig. Check out the trailer now.

One look at the trailer for LITTLE WOMEN is all you need to make this a “must-see” film for your holiday viewing and as an awards contender.  Steeped in the Civil War and post-war period with costumes by Jacqueline Durran, production design by Jess Gonchor, and score by Alexandre Desplat, writer/director Greta Gerwig brings the tale of the March girls to life in this now seventh big-screen adaptation of the beloved Louise May Alcott novel since first adapted for the screen in 1917.

Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a LITTLE WOMEN that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life.  In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters – four young women each determined to live life on her own terms — is both timeless and timely.

Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan (Jo), Emma Watson (Meg), Florence Pugh (Amy), Eliza Scanlen (Beth), with Timothée Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

Written and directed by Greta Gerwig and based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, LITTLE WOMEN also stars  Chris Cooper, Louis Garrel, Tracy Letts, James Norton, and Bob Odenkirk.

In theatres December 25th
