GOALIE scores with its debut trailer. Check it out now!

Directed by Adriana Maggs, Mark O’Brien and Kevin Pollak take to the ice in this emotionally charged, powerful true story of legendary hockey player Terry Sawchuk.

Over his 21 year career in the NHL, starting in 1949, Sawchuk saw it all from the crease, playing for the Detroit Red Wings, Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings and the New York Rangers, until his death in 1970.  Named as one of the greatest NHL players in history, his life off the ice was far from the excitement and exhilaration that came with the smell of the ice, inevitable injuries, and thrill of victory.  This is his story.

The life of a professional hockey player was not always a glamorous one. For legendary goaltender Terry Sawchuk, each save means one more gash to his unmasked face and one more drink to numb the pain. Even with a wife and seven children at home, he is haunted by the void left from his childhood which he tried to fill with cheering crowds. Sawchuk traveled across the country racking up 103 shutouts and 400 stitches to his face, proving that this is a man who lives, breathes, and dies a goalie.
