Now is not the time to be COMPLACENT. Or is it? Check out the trailer now. See the film November 5th.

From writer/director Steven R. Monroe, and featuring a superb ensemble cast headed by Cerina Vincent (Cabin Fever) and Kerri Green (The Goonies), COMPLACENT is the story of two sisters, Myah and Beth, who struggle with their differences in life and in the older sister’s mentally abusive marriage.  But what happens when tragedy strikes and Beth and Myah and their married friends are shaken to the core, forced to face the consequences.

A portrait of the American lifestyle.  Keeping up with “The Joneses” but without the incentive to do so. The 9-to-5 jobs, cookie-cutter suburban developments, perfectly manicured Scot Turf Builder green lawns.  Everyone is COMPLACENT.  Indifferent to one another, no sense of desire to do better, achieve more.  Everyone sees what is right in front of them in their own front yard.  On the outside, everything looks perfect, idyllic.  But what about on the inside?  Can you truly survive with no curiosity, no desire beyond what you have, no hopes, no dreams?  Is the “status quo” enough?  Myah decides that it’s not and sets off a domino effect within the group of friends that while at times amusing, is equally heartbreaking, and eventually fatal, literally and figuratively.

Joey Kern (Super Troopers), Keir O’Donnell (Project Blue Book), Elisa Donovan (Clueless), Michael Worth (Sasquatch Mountain), Christopher Showerman (Supergirl), and Adrienne Barbeau (Escape from New York) also star in the powerful film.

Produced by Dean Alioto, Corey Allen Jackson, Simon Johnson, and Steven R.Monroe, with Joe D.Jackson and David L.Vasile executive producing, Wylie Statesman co-producing, and Clint Morris associate producing. Music by Corey Allen Jackson.
