Ring in the New Year with the fun, action, and adventure of WE CAN BE HEROES!

It’s been 15 years, but Sharkboy and Lavagirl are back, and just when we need them most!  Only now, they’re all grown up and parents with kids of their own and those kids are out to save the world. And did we mention that this second generation also has superhero powers? Written and Directed by Robert Rodriguez, the force behind The Adventures of Sharkboy & Lavagirl 3-D, WE CAN BE HEROES is next level adventure and fun for the next generation of superheroes!  Think Spy Kids (also from Rodriguez) meets Sharkboy & Lavagirl.

Alien invaders have kidnapped Earth’s superheroes, forcing the government to whisk their kids away to a government safe house. But whip-smart tween Missy Moeno (Yaya Gosselin) will stop at nothing to rescue her superhero dad, Marcus Moreno (Pedro Pascal). Missy teams up with the rest of the superkids to escape their mysterious government babysitter, Ms. Granada (Priyanka Chopra Jonas). If they’re going to save their parents, they’ll have to work together by using their individual powers — from elasticity to time control to predicting the future — and form an out-of-this-world team.

With Pedro Pascal, Christian Slater, and Boyd Holbrook as “The Heroics”, WE CAN BE HEROES also stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Christopher McDonald, and Adriana Barraza along with YaYa Gosselin as Missy, Vivien Blair as Guppy, Isaiah Russell-Bailey as Rewind, Akira Akbar as Fast Forward, Hala Finley as Ojo, Dylan Henry Lau as Slo-Mo, as well as Lyon Daniels, Nathan Blair, Lotus Blossom, Andy Walken, Andrew Diaz, Sung Kang, Haley Reinhart, J. Quinton Johnson, Brittany Perry-Russell, and Brently Heilbron.  Taylor Dooley joins the fun and reprises her role as Lavagirl while JJ Dashnaw (best known for Spy Kids) steps into the role of Sharkboy in lieu of Taylor Lautner who originated the character in 2005.
