Docter, producer Jonas Rivera (\u201cUp\u201d), and co-director Ronnie Del Carmen (\u201cUp\u201d) will be on hand in Cannes, along with members of the all-star English-language voice cast.\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cWe are overjoyed at being included in this year&#8217;s official selection at Cannes,\u201d said Docter. \u201cWith \u2018Inside Out,\u2019 we spent years imagining \u2013 and then building \u2013 never-before-seen settings and characters within the mind. It was an incredible, fun and exciting challenge and now we can\u2019t wait to share it with the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>INSIDE OUT is the brainchild of Pete Docter who, using his own father-daughter experiences, dives into the mind of 11-year old Riley.<\/p>\n<p>Based in Headquarters, the control center inside 11-year-old\u00a0Riley\u2019s mind, five Emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted\u00a0optimist Joy (voice of Amy Poehler), whose mission is to make sure Riley\u00a0stays happy. Fear\u00a0(voice of Bill Hader) heads up safety, Anger (voice of Lewis Black) ensures all is fair and Disgust (voice of Mindy Kaling) prevents Riley from getting poisoned\u2014both physically and socially. Sadness (voice of Phyllis\u00a0Smith) isn\u2019t exactly sure what her role is, and frankly, neither is anyone else.<\/p>\n<p>When Riley&#8217;s family relocates to a scary new city, the Emotions are on the job, eager to help guide her through the difficult transition. But\u00a0when Joy and\u00a0Sadness are inadvertently swept into the far reaches of Riley\u2019s mind\u2014taking\u00a0some of her core memories with them\u2014Fear, Anger and Disgust are left reluctantly in charge.
