The first was Tim Burton&#8217;s &#8220;The Nightmare Before Christmas.&#8221; \u00a0Shortly after learning of their nominations, director and producer Travis Knight and the Visual Effects team of Steve Emerson, Oliver Jones, Brian McLean and Brad Schiff had this to say:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 90px;\">&#8220;I\u2019m over the moon! \u00a0An Academy Award nomination is an extraordinary and cherished gift. \u00a0Two nominations is more than anyone could hope for. \u00a0Every filmmaker dreams of a moment like this.\u00a0 But the truth is, I already lived my dream by making this film.\u00a0Movies have always given me great joy. We&#8217;re thrilled for the artists at LAIKA who put years into realizing <em>Kubo<\/em>.
