LA<\/strong><\/a> benefit on May 13th at the Saban Theatre. \u00a0 Just listening to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reverbnation.com\/jakesimpson\"><strong>Jake<\/strong><\/a>, you hear his passion and compassion for APLA and the people whose lives are assisted by them, beneficiaries of the gala proceeds. \u00a0With a theme of \u201cIdols &amp; Icons\u201d, \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JakeSimpsonSoul\"><strong>Jake<\/strong><\/a> will be paying tribute to the late George Michael with a very special song you can hear him talk about now.<\/p>\n<p>Two very special directors &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/dangerclosefilm\"><strong>CHRISTIAN TUREAUD and DAVID SALZBERG<\/strong><\/a> &#8211; have teamed up for the riveting documentary with lauded news reporter <a href=\"http:\/\/alexquade.com\/\"><strong>Alex Quade<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/HeroesofValorCollection\/\"><strong>DANGER CLOSE<\/strong><\/a>. Edward R. Murrow Award-winning Quade embeds with special ops in Iraq and Afghanistan and takes us on a journey not only inside special ops, but one that honors one soldier who meant so much to so many at home and on the battlefield. It is an honor to have both of them on BTL. \u00a0It is impossible not to be moved by what they do as producers and directors, and the mission they have with each project honoring our military heroes. \u00a0The journey from idea to completed film is a long one, but a rewarding one, as you can hear in their voices as they talk about <a href=\"http:\/\/dangerclosefilm.com\/\"><strong>DANGER CLOSE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While known to most as Lex Luthor in &#8220;Lois &amp; Clark: The New Adventures of Superman&#8221;, along with decades of other memorable\u00a0performances, it is a\u00a0thrill to have JOHN SHEA join us in the capacity of writer\/director for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/GreyLadyMovie\/\"><strong>GREY LADY<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0A thriller filled with intensity, twists and turns, and quite a few dead bodies along the way, and shot on Nantucket Island, just listen as John talks about his own journey writing the film on to actual production, including the cinematography, editing, the local townspeople who are an integral part of the film, and of course, his cast, starting with his leading man, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RealEricDane\"><strong>ERIC DANE<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0Die-hard fans of Dane, be they from &#8220;Grey&#8217;s Anatomy&#8221; or &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheLastShipTNT\"><strong>The Last Ship<\/strong><\/a>&#8220;, will more than appreciate what John has to say about Eric Dane, believing his role in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GreyLadyFilm\"><strong>GREY LADY<\/strong><\/a> is the one that makes Dane stand out as &#8220;a movie star.&#8221; \u00a0And the love and admiration doesn&#8217;t stop with Eric Dane, it flows for the entire cast.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve got \u2018em racked and stacked on BEHIND THE LENS today with special guests from beginning to end!
