All members of the Visual Effects Branch will now be invited to view 10-minute excerpts from each of the shortlisted films on Saturday, January 6, 2018. Following the screenings, the members will vote to nominate five films for final Oscar<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>consideration.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations for the 90th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.<\/p>\n<p>T<strong>he 90th Oscars<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at the Dolby Theatre<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>\u00a0at Hollywood &amp; Highland Center<sup>\u00ae\u00a0<\/sup>in Hollywood, and will be televised live on the ABC Television Network at 6:30 p.m. ET\/ 3:30 p.m. PT.<\/strong> The Oscars also will be televised live in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that 10 films remain in the running in the Visual Effects category for the 90th Academy Awards\u00ae.
