Henry Cavill is taking the world be storm. Saving humanity one battle at a time. We all know he’s set to make his mark as The Man of Steel <\/em>himself, Superman, but before he dons a big red “S”, he must go toe-to-toe with the treacherous and maniacal King Hyperion who is out to destroy mankind in IMMORTALS. As the humble stonemason Theseus, Cavill gives an “immortal” performance as the man secretly chosen by Zeus, King of the Gods of Olympus, to fight Hyperion and save the world.<\/p>\n

After a lengthy interview with Cavill last week talking everything IMMORTALS, I had a chance to briefly speak with him again on the red carpet at last night\u0081fs premiere.<\/p>\n

How excited are you for this night to finally be here?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m extremely excited. This is a culmination of 11 years of hard work and I’m so happy that I get to share it with my Mum and Dad who are around here somewhere. It’s an absolute blessing. It’s been one of those special occasions which you dream of happening but you never know if it will. And it’s happening. And I couldn’t ask for a better night.<\/p>\n

There will be many more for you. I am sure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Piggybacking my question for Henry was Angie from Team Twilight (<\/strong>www.team-twilight.com<\/strong><\/a>) who garnered an interesting discussion on Henry possibly being first choice of author Stephanie Meyer to play Edward.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I want to get this clear. Did she say that I was in her mind when she was writing the character or did she say when the movie was coming out that I was her first choice? Both are enormously flattering. It’s a sad day that I couldn’t play it because I believe it was because I was too old for the role. It would have been a wonderful thing. But, more importantly, I think Robert [Pattinson] did a fantastic job.<\/p>\n
