Turner Classic Movies (TCM)<\/strong>\u00a0today announced it will honor iconic actress and comedian\u00a0Lily Tomlin<\/strong>\u00a0with a hand and footprint ceremony at the world-famous\u00a0TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX\u00ae<\/strong>\u00a0in Hollywood during the eleventh annual\u00a0TCM Classic Film Festival<\/strong>\u00a0on\u00a0Friday, April 17<\/strong>. Tomlin, a Tony\u00ae, Grammy\u00ae, eight time Emmy\u00ae and two time Peabody Award\u00ae winner, has had a remarkable career starting in the 1960s starring in cinematic classics, television staples and on stage.<\/p>\n \u201cLily Tomlin\u2019s talent has endured for fifty years because she knows who she is. She\u2019s managed to play broadly drawn roles alongside more nuanced characters without a hint of falseness,\u201d said\u00a0Ben Mankiewicz, TCM primetime anchor and official host of the TCM Classic Film Festival.<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cNot long ago, Tomlin told\u00a0The New York Times, \u2018<\/em>I wanted people to see the characters as human beings.
