Inspired by the true story of WWII UK\/Irish Veteran Bernard Jordan, we follow the adventure of Artie Crawford (age 92 3\/4).\u00a0 After the death of his wife, he sneaks out of his nursing home and makes his way to France to reunite with his brothers-in-arms and honor the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. Starring Pierce Brosnan as Artie along with John Amos in one of his final performances as a US veteran, and J\u00fcrgen Prochnow as a veteran of the Nazi war machine, there is plenty of emotionality in this film that is balanced with a light visual tone.
