ACADEMY AWARD WINNER HALLE BERRY TO STAR IN\u00a0<\/strong>LUIS PRIETO’S THRILLER <\/strong>“KIDNAP”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Lotus Entertainment announced last week that Academy Award\u00ae winner Halle Berry (MONSTER’S BALL) will star in Luis Prieto’s (PUSHER) upcoming high-octane thriller KIDNAP<\/strong>. The film is written by Knate Gwaltney, with Di Bonaventura Pictures’ Lorenzo di Bonaventura (TRANSFORMERS franchise and SALT) and Erik Howsam producing. Lotus Entertainment is handling international sales beginning in Cannes at the March\u00e9. CAA packaged the project and reps the domestic rights.<\/p>\n

KIDNAP is a heart-stopping action thriller following a mother (Berry) who will stop at nothing to rescue her kidnapped son.<\/p>\n

Executive producers are Joey Tufaro and Colin Bates, and Claudia Blumhuber and Florian Dargel of Silver Reel along with Lotus\u2019 Bill Johnson and Jim Seibel. In addition, Berry will also executive produce with her producing partner, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, through their 606 Films production banner.<\/p>\n

KIDNAP marks the second collaboration for Lotus with di Bonaventura and Silver Reel following the remake of SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE which is currently in development.<\/p>\n

In addition to the 2014 Cannes opening night film, GRACE OF MONACO, Lotus Entertainment’s current slate includes:\u00a0Tom Tykwer\u2019s A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING starring Tom Hanks and Scott Hicks\u2019 FALLEN based on the best-selling YA novel, which both are currently in production; Henry Hobson\u2019s MAGGIE with Arnold Schwarzenegger; Craig Zobel\u2019s Z FOR ZACHARIAH with Chiwetel Ejiofor and Chris Pine; Stephen Gaghan\u2019s CANDY STORE; and SONG ONE starring Anne Hathaway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
