That’s right! We’re just hours away from the 69th Annual Golden Globes. Who will take home the gold tonight? Will The Help <\/em><\/a>need any help picking up an award or two? Or will War Horse <\/em>gallop to a Best Picture win?<\/p>\n

And is this just the “beginning” for Christopher Plummer on his way to Oscar or will the theater gods be with Kenneth Branagh for his performance as Sir Laurence Olivier in My Week With Marilyn<\/em>? And what about George Clooney? A “descendant” of Hollywood royalty (and a favorite of the HFPA), will tonight be his night for The Descendants <\/em>or will Ryan Gosling “Drive<\/em><\/a>” him away? Or will Michael Fassbender put them both to “Shame<\/em>“?<\/p>\n

And what about the ladies? Will Meryl Streep rule with an “iron fist” and be crowned Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama for The Iron Lady<\/em> <\/a>or will newcomer Rooney Mara slay her? And will the beloved Octavia Spencer find a little Golden Globe on her mantel to dust as Best Supporting Actress for The Help<\/em><\/a>? Then there’s Michelle Williams? Has she charmed the HFPA with Marilyn’s mystique? Will Jean Dujardin, Berenice Bejo and The Artist<\/em> dance their way to Hollywood history with the first silent picture win since Wings <\/em>at the very first Academy Awards?<\/p>\n

When it comes to animation, did Johnny Depp wrangle the HFPA with Rango <\/em>or will Cars 2 <\/em><\/a>cross the finish line first ahead of the dancing cavalier, Puss In Boots<\/em><\/a>?<\/em><\/p>\n

What has turned into one of the most exciting categories is Best Foreign Language Film which pits “newcomer” (and my favorite for this award) Angelina Jolie and In the Land of Blood and Honey<\/em> <\/a>against veteran Pedro Almodovar with the stunning The Skin I Live In.<\/em><\/p>\n

But what about music? Elton John goes note to note with Mary J. Blige for Best Original Song for Gnomeo & Juliet<\/em> <\/a>and The Help<\/em>, respectively.<\/p>\n
