(Oct. 20, 2014)<\/strong> Walt Disney Animation Studios revealed plans today for \u201cMoana,\u201d\u00a0a sweeping, CG-animated comedy-adventure about a spirited teenager on an impossible mission\u00a0to fulfill her ancestors’ quest. In theaters in late 2016, the film is directed by the renowned filmmaking team of Ron Clements and John Musker (“The Little Mermaid,” “The Princess and the Frog,” “Aladdin\u201d).<\/p>\n

\u201cJohn and I have partnered on so many films\u2014from \u2018The Little Mermaid\u2019 to \u2018Aladdin\u2019 to \u2018The Princess and the Frog,\u2019\u201d said Clements. \u201cCreating \u2018Moana\u2019 is one of the great thrills of our career.
