Check out the trailer for the heartwarming adventure charmer, KANGAROO KIDS.  Kids and a kangaroo?  What’s not to love!  A perfect film for the whole family!

Scatena & Rosner Films has acquired North American Rights to the family-friendly adventure feature KANGAROO KIDS starring Josefina Baeza and Branscombe Richmond. KANGAROO KIDS is set to arrive on VOD, digital on February 17, 2026.

Originally slated for release in 2023 through the now-defunct Sunn Stream OTT platform, the film ultimately failed to reach audiences. Scatena & Rosner Films stepped in to complete post-production and will now handle North American and Latin American distribution, as well as international sales – ensuring the film’s long-awaited debut reaches families worldwide.

Kangaroo Kids is a joyful adventure that captures the magic of friendship, courage, and teamwork”, said Gato Scatena, Managing Director at S&R Films. “We’re thrilled to bring this heartwarming story to families this February and share a film that will leave kids and adults smiling from start to finish.”

Set to capture the hearts and minds of the whole family, KANGAROO KIDS tells the story of Johnny, a 13-year-old orphan girl, who finally finds a friend in a kangaroo. Meanwhile, a few States away, a scheming con artist hires three clumsy thieves to steal this valuable and famous animal. But the girl and her new friends, a mismatched group of zoo kids, are determined to stop them. Time is running out. Can they save the day before the bank takes the zoo?

Alongside Baeza and Richmond, KANGAROO KIDS also stars Robbie Allen and Emily Ashby. The film was directed by Fairai Branscombe Richmond, written by Ryan Lieske and Fairai Branscombe Richmond, and produced by Branscombe Richmond, with Richmond Family Films serving as the production company.
