Australian production designer Fiona Crombie received an Art Directors’ Guild Award for Excellence in Production Design in a Period Feature Film for her work on THE FAVOURITE.
“I am so grateful to the ADG for this award, and I am so thrilled to find myself in this room,” said Crombie. “Thank you for recognizing THE FAVOURITE and responding to the world we created. Yorgos Lanthimos is a singular director who gifted me with great freedom and trust. He let me sing my song.”
Crombie was nominated for the accolade alongside Aaron Haye for “Bohemian Rhapsody”; Jess Gonchor for “The Ballad of Buster Scruggs”; Nathan Crowley for “First Man”; and Eugenio Caballero for “Roma”.
She is also nominated for the Academy Award for Best Production Design, as well as a BAFTA for Best Production Design. Currently, Crombie is working on “The King” for David Michôd, scheduled for release in 2019.
